Founded in 1969, President Candy started from hand-made candy manufacturing to fully automated production and from having a single product to a diverse line-up of products. In 1971, President Candy formed a technological cooperation with Japan Kanebo Ltd. and added a chewing gum production line. Fay-Lay, the bubble gum that lets you blow huge bubbles was introduced in 1980. It soon gained great popularity and exposure since it was the first bubble gum manufactured in Taiwan. For the past 20 years, many competitors have entered the market along with imported bubble gums. Yet, PlayGum still enjoys a prime status and maintains its leading role in Taiwan's market.

Not only President Candy is focusing on the sales of Fay-Lay bubble gum, but also we are paying more attention on recognizing the new chewing gum trend in Taiwan. In 2005, President Candy has introduced sugarless product line, which makes our products more competitive in the market. Fay-Lay sugarless chewing gum has delivered the concept of health to our customers, and it also gives everyone the joy of blowing huge bubbles at the same time.
